Additional parts such as pinch rollers, broken gears and dead capacitors are charged additionally depending upon parts cost and availability. Some parts may need to be sourced from donor machines if a new replacement isn't available.

The SMD caps in the walkmans based on the EX mechanism commonly fail and leak all over the board and require replacement and board repair - these walkmans are identified by a green direction button on the top next to the Rewind key and EX head written inside the cassette compartment.
